Job Description

Overview We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Consultant psychiatrist to join our Wimborne Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).You will play a key leadership role and influence the evolvement of the existing service in line with the Long‑Term Plan and Community Mental Health Framework. Team The team is a small multidisciplinary group consisting of an integrated service manager, community mental health nurses, psychologists, support workers, recovery workers, social workers, a part‑time senior resident doctor (ST4‑6) and a full‑time GP trainee. ResponsibilitiesProvide assessment and ongoing care for users of the service. Offer advice and guidance to local GPs and the multi‑professional leadership team. Participate in the Dorset‑wide on‑call rota (paid at 3% on‑call availability plus added 0.75PA for full‑time participation). Use the office in the Oakley Bungalow, shared with the part‑time resident doctor, with adequate administrative support.BenefitsRecruitment and retention payment of £10,000 paid in monthly instalments for the first year.
