Job Description

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for theprovision of medical services to the practice population, delivering anexcellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will adhere to the GMC standardsfor good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of thepractice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative workingrelationship with the multidisciplinary team.About usMarket Cross Surgery is a long-established GP practice dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred primary care to the local community. Recently under new management, the surgery is focused on modernising its services, strengthening clinical capacity, and improving patient experience.The practice offers a full range of general medical services, including routine and urgent appointments, chronic disease management, preventative health programmes, and access to a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. With an emphasis on accessibility, safety, and continuity of care, Market Cross Surgery is committed to adopting innovative approaches, enhancing communication, and working collaboratively with local health partners to meet the evolving needs of its patients.Job responsibilitiesThe following arethe core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, arequirement to carry out other tasks, this will be dependent upon factors suchas workload and staffing levelsThedelivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled populationTheprovision of services commensurate with the GMS contractGenericprescribing adhering to local and national guidanceEffectivemanagement of long-term conditionsProcessingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasksOn arotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor rolesMaintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidanceWorkcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workloadAdhereto best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit processContributeto the successful implementation of continuous improvement and qualityinitiatives within the practiceAcceptdelegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOFAttendand contribute effectively to practice meetings as requiredContributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinicalgovernance and trainingEnsurecompliance with the appraisal processPrepareand complete the revalidation processCommitto self-learning and instill an ethos of continuing professional developmentacross the practice teamSupportthe training of medical students from all clinical disciplinesSupportthe partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, makingrecommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditureReviewand always adhere to practice protocols and policiesEncouragecollaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting aculture of continuous improvementPerson SpecificationQualifications- Qualified GP- MRCGP- Full GMC Registration- National Performers List registrationExperience in SystmOneDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.£10,500 to £11,750 a sessionDepending on Experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
