An international manufacturing business is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to act as the central point for all logistics, customs and transportation activity across the organisation.This role plays a key part in ensuring materials and finished products move efficiently through the supply chain, while improving service levels, strengthening supplier relationships and controlling logistics spend.Key responsibilitiesManage day-to-day performance of an outsourced logistics partner against agreed KPIsCoordinate end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics with manufacturing, sales, finance and product teamsLead import and export activity and ensure full compliance with global customs regulationsMaintain accurate trade documentation and support auditsManage and develop relationships with freight forwarders, carriers and transport providersMonitor carrier performance and drive service and cost improvementsSupport management of annual freight and logistics budgetsDeliver continuous improvement and year-on-year transportation cost savingsCollaborate with global teams and suppliers to resolve issues and align best practiceAbout youTo be considered for this opportunity you will need a strong background in logistics specifically in managing freight and 3PL. Knowledge export and customs compliance is also essential. This opportunity requires daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders in multiple countries, so excellent communication skills are a prerequisite for the post.
