The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a full time, ongoing Machine Operator / Setter to work at our client's site based in Huddersfield HD9This is a night shift position but candidates must be able to complete training on day shiftsTraining Mon to Friday 8am to 6pmNight shift Mon to Thu 6pm to 6am (4 x 12 hour shifts).Key ResponsibilitiesSet Up & Go: Configure extrusion machines, install dies, and dial in temperature and pressure settings.Feed the Machine: Monitor hoppers to ensure a steady flow of polymer resins and additives.Quality Watchdog: Use calipers and gauges to ensure every millimetre of product meets our high standards.Smooth Operator: Troubleshoot minor mechanical hiccups on the fly to minimise downtime.Safety First: Keep a clean workspace and follow all PPE and safety protocols.What We're Looking For:Experience: Previous experience in extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment (preferred, but we will train the right candidate).Eye for Detail: You notice the small stuff before it becomes a big problem.Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods of timeWhat we offerGood rates of pay £18.00 (after training and includes a night allowanceOvertime available at 1&3/4Ongoing work that may lead to a permanent position for the right candidateThe Best Connection is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.TPBN1_UKTJ
