Care Secretary - Child Care & Public Law Leeds Full Time Hybrid Salary: Depending on Experience We are currently seeking a Care Secretary to join a friendly and forward-thinking Child Care & Public Law team based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact in childcare law while providing high-quality support to legal professionals and vulnerable clients. In this role, you will provide key secretarial and administrative support to a Care Solicitor and the wider legal team. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, strong client care, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment.Key Responsibilities Typing legal documents, including court documents, emails and file notes Preparing legal aid applications Opening files on the case management system Answering calls and assisting clients with enquiries Liaising with clients and professionals to arrange appointments and meetings Managing incoming emails and post, and responding where appropriate Using digital dictation systems (BigHand) Maintaining and updating the case management database Ensuring files are accurately time-logged for billing Preparing court bundles Assisting other fee earners within the team Updating the experts' register Providing cover for other secretaries when requiredPerson Specification Previous experience working within a Care department in a law firm or similar environment Excellent telephone manner and client care skills Strong typing skills and experience using digital dictation Highly organised and efficient Proactive with the ability to use initiative Motivated and willing to take on new tasks Ability to prioritise workloads across multiple fee earnersWhat's on Offer Competitive salary (depending on experience) Hybrid working available after probation 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Additional leave for long service Extra day off for your birthday Two half-day Life Admin Days Health scheme Two discretionary bonuses per year Pension scheme Christmas social eventsEqual Opportunities Applications are welcomed from all qualified candidates. xjdpvnf Recruitment decisions are made without discrimination on the basis of race, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, pregnancy or maternity, marital or civil partnership status, or any other protected characteristic. ?
