From simple daily conversations to supporting them through challenging moments, these experiences build trust and help young people move forward positively.While some days can be challenging, the progress you help create and the difference you make will make the role incredibly rewarding.The RoleAs Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the residential home and help lead a team providing high-quality care to young people.Key responsibilities include:Supporting the overall management of the homeSupervising and mentoring Senior Support Workers and care staffEnsuring young people receive the highest standard of care and supportAssisting the Registered Manager with reports, reviews and operational managementTaking responsibility for the home in the managers absencePromoting an individualised approach to support for both residents and staffMonitoring staff performance and identifying training and development needsCreating and maintaining a warm, homely environmentBuilding strong and positive relationships with young people and colleaguesSupporting and organising activities and outingsMaintaining accurate electronic care recordsExperience with systems such as Clearcare is beneficial, though full training will be provided.
