Working closely with the Chair, CEO,and fellow Trustees, you will help steer an organisation that makes a genuine,daily difference to hundreds of people's lives.What You'll DoProvide expert financial oversight and reporting to the Board, ensuring strong governance andaccountabilityMonitor the Group's financial health, budgets, reserves and cash flow, and translate the numbers into clear insights for TrusteesOversee the preparation and presentation of annual accounts and statutory financial reporting, working alongside the executive finance teamWork with auditors and ensure robust financial controls are in place across the GroupChair or support the Finance Committee, and report its activity and recommendations to the full BoardWho We're Looking ForPrevious trustee experience is not essential, however an understanding of charity governance would be beneficial.You will bring:ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent senior financial management experienceThe ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues and stakeholdersStrategic thinking with an eye for risk and opportunityIntegrity, independence and sound judgementA genuine commitment to SCiA Group's mission of community-based care and wellbeingExperience in the charity, health, or social care sector is advantageous but not essentialWhat We OfferThis is a voluntary, unpaid role the rewards are real and meaningful:The opportunity to shape the future of a respected, growing charityA meaningful role on a dedicated, values-driven Board with genuine collective responsibility for the organisations directionValuable governance and strategic leadership experienceThe chance to use your professional skills to give back to your communityA welcoming, collaborative culture that values every voiceTime CommitmentWe ask for approximately 34 hours per month, including attendance at Boardmeetings (typically quarterly), Finance Committee meetings, and occasional adhoc discussions.
