Panel MET TechnicianThe full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.Location: West Sussex, RH19 Hours: 45 hours per week Salary: Up to 60,000 + bonusAbout the RoleWe are an established and growing vehicle repair business with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Panel MET Technician to join our fast-paced team.This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring vehicle repairs are completed to manufacturer and industry standards, while maintaining efficiency, safety, and quality at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out repairs on motor vehicles in line with manufacturer and industry standardsEnsure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standardInspect and report on vehicle structure and paintworkRemove, refit, and store vehicle components safelyCarry out panel alignment and associated repairsComplete filler work to a high standard (P180 finish, pinhole checks)Apply underseal, weld-through primers, and anti-corrosion treatmentsPerform quality control checks and sign off repairs at each stageIdentify and report additional damage not previously notedFollow repair methods and ensure documentation is present and understoodMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environmentEnsure vehicle protection (seat covers, mats, etc.) is always in placeRequirementsRelevant motor manufacturer qualifications and experienceFull UK driving licenceCurrent AOM009 welding certificate (or BS xjdpvnf equivalent)Experience with MIG brazing, spot welding, rivet bonding, and high-strength steelsLight MET qualification (ATA or equivalent)Bonding certificationWillingness to undertake further training as requiredPersonal AttributesStrong team playerProactive with a flexible, can-do attitudeTakes ownership and responsibility for workDetail-oriented with pride in high standardsAdaptable, resilient, and able to work in a fast-paced environmentHonest and reliable
