Role: Principal Technical Architect Want to apply Read all the information about this position below, then hit the apply button.Duration: 6 months Location: Hemel Hempstead (full time onsite) Clearance: DV Rate: 700 - 750 per day inside IR35 Key Responsibilities:Providing technical leadershipProviding fully traceability for contracted requirements and ensuring the solution is fit for serviceManaging the technical leads within each separate workstreamsProviding advice and guidance to development teams as they go about designing and engineering the new solutionsBridging the gap between the technical teams and wider businessDealing with escalationsInterfacing with the Design AuthorityInterfacing with the client to ensure effective decisions are made concerning all aspects of the technical solutionSupporting with the recruitment of technical resources and technical resource managementProvides advice and guidance to development teams on architectures and application designs Identifies and promotes best practice, including standards, frameworks and documentation Delivers effective technical architecture designs in accordance with agreed scope, time, financial and quality measuresEnsures effective client engagement and stakeholder management during assignment (may include management of technology partners and subcontractors) Identifies and manage risk in his/her business activities and take responsibility for reporting risks in a timely, open and appropriate manner Essential Skills3 years' experience of delivery within a secure Defence (preferred) or @3 environmentExcellent leadership skills, with experience having managed complex technical solutions, with engineering teams of at least 20 plus resources5+ years' experience in a senior technical role either managing a technical service provision or as a senior architect working within projects and programsOutstanding communications skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical audiencesExperience managing escalations effectivelyExperience in managing and supporting major IT transformations (from a technical, not project management perspective).Knowledge and experience of IDAM solutionsDemonstrable experience in introducing automationExperience working in a highly secure environment with complex security requirementsDesirable SkillsExperience with Automation Technologies: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShellExperience with VMware vRealize Product SetExperience with LinuxExperience supporting Windows Operating SystemsExperience with Forcepoint Security ProductsAwareness of EMCON and HMG Security StandardsExperience with NIST Cyber Security FrameworkExperience delivering projects using SAFe (or any other Agile methodology) Reasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
