Given the nature of the works, precision and regulatory awareness are critical, particularly when pricing safety-sensitive projects.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for demolition and/or specialist removal schemesAnalyse tender documentation including drawings, site surveys, asbestos reports, specifications and bills of quantitiesAssess labour, plant, materials, subcontract packages and project sequencingSource and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractorsAttend pre-tender site visits when requiredContribute to the preparation of tender programmes and supporting documentationComplete pre-qualification questionnaires and relevant statutory submissionsLiaise with clients to confirm scope, constraints and technical queriesAssist with pre-contract discussions and review documentation prior to project commencementEnsure all pricing submissions align with current legislation, regulatory standards and industry best practiceProvide detailed handover information to operational teams upon successful awardA strong focus on accuracy, compliance and structured documentation is essential.Essential CriteriaDemonstrable experience estimating demolition and/or removal projectsSolid understanding of construction methodology and controlled demolition techniquesWorking knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance including:Health & Safety at Work legislationManagement of Health & Safety regulationsConstruction (Design and Management) RegulationsIndustry best practice guidance for demolition worksFamiliarity with statutory notification processes (e.g. F10 submissions and other relevant notices)Ability to interpret drawings, surveys and technical reports accuratelyCompetence in assessing project duration, resource allocation and cost planningUnderstanding of construction contracts and commercial riskProficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and ProjectFull UK driving licenceDesirable ExperienceAsbestos awareness or non-licensed asbestos training (or higher certification)Experience using estimating or commercial management softwareBackground within demolition, asbestos removal or specialist contracting environmentsThis role would suit an estimator who recognises that safe and successful project delivery begins at tender stage and takes ownership of producing technically robust and fully compliant submissions. xjdpvnf Applicants should submit an up-to-date CV for consideration.
