We therefore welcome applications from all suitably skilled and qualified applicants.THE ROLE:We are looking for a Estimator/Commercial Manager/Senior QS to join our team in a key role bridging pre-construction and project delivery.This position is ideal for someone looking to step up into a broader commercial role, with the opportunity to develop into a Commercial Manager position over time.You will work closely with the directors and project teams, contributing to both tendering activities and commercial management of live projects, with support where needed.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Pre-ConstructionReview tender opportunities and assist in bid selectionCarry out take-offs and support preparation of bills of quantitiesAssist in preparing tender submissions and pricing from first principlesObtain and review subcontractor quotationsAttend site visits and pre-tender meetings as requiredCommercial / Quantity SurveyingSupport the commercial management of projects from start to final accountAssist with subcontract procurement and administrationPrepare and submit valuations and variationsMonitor project costs and assist with reportingSupport preparation and agreement of final accountsCollaboration & GrowthWork closely with project managers, procurement and accounts teamsBuild relationships with clients xjdpvnf and subcontractorsContribute to improving commercial and estimating processesThe CandidateWe are looking for a motivated and commercially aware individual who is looking to take the next step in their career.Essential:Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Estimating roleExperience within building and/or civil engineering projectsKnowledge of JCT and/or NEC contractsExcellent commercial awareness and understanding of project cost controlAbility to interpret drawings and specificationsStrong numerical and analytical skillsGood communication and organisational skillsExperience with Excel and standard construction softwareFull UK driving licence
