Electrical Supervisor | Great Dunmow, Essex | Full Time | 51,000-54,000A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.Project Solver Ltd specialise in a wide range of electrical testing compliance services and electrical remedial / projects work on a UK nationwide basis.We have worked with companies such as Nike, TK Maxx, The O2 arena, and Great Ormond Street Hospital, to name a few.You will primarily be office-based for 2 to 3 days a week, handling Quantity Surveying responsibilities and providing your expertise on technical questions and issues that may arise. The rest of your week will be dedicated to leading significant electrical and installation projects and overseeing the training and development of our engineers and apprentices. This includes presenting training needs or addressing performance issues in our monthly meetings.Additionally, you will conduct audits in alignment with NICEIC guidelines. Attendance at site meetings and surveys may also be necessary to support upcoming projects.What can Project Solver Ltd give to you?Company van and fuel card to be providedMobile phone to be providedAre you the right person for us?The following criteria are essential for this roleMinimum 5 years experience in commercial/industrial environmentsMinimum 5 years experience in Inspection and testing and generating certificatesCurrent experience (within 3 years) of qualifying supervisor role and responsibilitiesHold level 3 NVQ in electrical installationECS approved electrician cardExperience in inspection and testing on single and three phase installationsPAT testing experienceThermographic, Sonic testing, load monitoring experience (Training will be given)Computer literateCan do attitudeFlexible approach to workPASMA, IPAF (Ideal but training can be provided)What will your role as an Electrical Supervisorlook like?Ensure health and safety are considered first, and best practice is followed, in every situationSupport the Operations Department in a Technical CapacityLead from the front in any large testing or installation works that may require your skillset/labour onsiteRegular review meetings with management and other QSersUndertake training/toolbox talks with engineers to ensure the smooth running of the Electrical/PAT engineers and apprenticesConduct regular site audits to support engineers and apprentices with their developmentProvide remedial quotations, by providing detailed parts lists and timings to completed defects training to be givenUndertake reviews of EIC/EICR and minor works as presentedLook for new ways to develop the business from an engineering perspectiveAttend external events, to keep abreast of current industry practices/developmentsEnsure all engineers/apprentices are completely familiar with practices and equipment relevant to their rolesSupport the Operations team in larger Contracts/Project works by aiding in surveys, scheduling, planning, setting out action plans, risk assessments and method statements, when requiredAuditing PAT testers regularlyAny other reasonable task xjdpvnf set out by the Head of Operations/Senior Management TeamInitial Point of contact for technical questions from engineers and office teamSupervise all engineers who report to you and build a good working teamAudit engineers while on site to make sure high standards are met and complete the audit sheetKeep a record of incorrect completion of test certificates and educate the engineer about the faultsGenerating remedial quotations from EICR reportsCommunicate with engineers when ordering parts to make sure you are ordering the correct itemRaise/maintain standards of electrical testing and certification with the teamChecking reports for completed thermographic tests, Load monitoring, and emergency light tests on the systemKnowledge of relevant regulatory and safety requirementsEnsuring qualifications of engineers remain in dateIf you are ready to start your career at Project Solver Ltd, then click APPLY now!
