Combining strong engineering expertise with extensive construction experience, they have built a reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.With an annual turnover exceeding 500 million and long-term secured frameworks extending through to 2030, our client offers a stable and growth-oriented environment for professionals looking to advance their careers.About the RoleAs a Principal Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering major water and wastewater projects from feasibility through to construction and commissioning.You will be responsible for shaping civil engineering solutions, ensuring designs are efficient, compliant, and fully integrated throughout all project phases.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, planning, and delivery of civil engineering solutions across projectsProvide technical guidance and ensure all designs meet relevant standards and legislationCollaborate closely with commercial, operational, and construction teams to deliver practical and safe solutionsBuild strong client relationships and promote a collaborative, one-team approachManage interfaces between civil and other engineering disciplinesReview and check technical documentation across multiple projectsIdentify and implement improvements in design processes, including sustainable and digital solutionsConduct site visits to ensure buildability and integration with existing systemsMentor and support the development of junior engineers within the teamRequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineChartered Engineer (CEng) status with a relevant institution (essential)Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering, including hydraulic and concrete structure designProven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong understanding of design, quality, and safety standardsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsWillingness to travel to project sites within the regionExperience in sustainable design and green building practicesProficiency in civil engineering software and toolsKnowledge of regulatory requirements within the water and wastewater sectorExperience in temporary works designAdditional InformationCandidates should be based in the UK or within commuting distancePlease note: Our client is currently unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
