An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to joinour friendly, supportive two site GP practice in Sheffield. We are proud to serve the Upperthorpe and Ecclesallcommunities and are active members of the Cityview PCN, working closely withpartner organisations to deliver high quality, patient centred care. Main duties of the job15 minutepre-booked and on the day GP appointments Participationin duty triage and paperwork sessions Documentworkflow, prescriptions and Path Links Qualityimprovement work to enhance patient care and services Opportunityto support and oversee trainees (where appropriate) About usList size: approx. 13,850patients, split almost equally between Upperthorpe and Ecclesall Practice team - 4 GP Partners 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners Clinical Pharmacy Team Strong Nursing, HCA,Administrative and Reception teams Additional onsite services: First Contact Physiotherapist Mental Health Team We are a training practice andcurrently supporting 2 of our ANPs to become ACPs We value collaborative working,clinical discussion, shared learning and continuous improvement. Job responsibilitiesAbility to assess, diagnose andmanage a wide range of clinical presentations Safe and effective prescribing inline with national and local guidance Ability to manage workloadeffectively within allocated sessions Ability to make sound clinicaldecisions, including risk assessment and prioritisation Commitment to evidence basedpractice and continuous improvement Special clinical interestsrelevant to primary care Experience of multidisciplinaryteam working across primary care networks Communication &Interpersonal Skills Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills Ability to communicateeffectively with patients, carers and colleagues Ability to work collaborativelywithin a multidisciplinary team Professional, compassionate andpatient centred approach to care Experience of working withdiverse patient populations Ability to contribute positivelyto team discussions and shared learning Other Requirements Commitment to ongoingprofessional development and annual appraisal Willingness to work across bothUpperthorpe and Ecclesall Medical Centre sites Ability to work 4 - 8 sessions perweek (negotiable) Person SpecificationQualificationsMBBS - or equivalent medical qualification Full registration with the General Medical Council -GMC Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List Eligibility to work in the UK Additional postgraduate qualifications relevant to primary care ExperienceCompletion of GP Specialty Training (or equivalent experience) Experience of delivering high quality primary medical care in a general practice setting Experience of managing acute and chronic conditions in primary care Understanding of NHS primary care systems, policies and clinical governance Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities for adults and children Experience of working in a Total Triage model Experience of working in a GMS practice Experience of SystmOne clinical system Experience of quality improvement, audit or service development work Experience of teaching, supervision or support of trainees or learners Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
