Head of NetballA variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.Independent Boarding School - East KentSalary: (37,061 FTE) equivalent to 28,432 pro rata per annum, plus an additional 3,901 per annum for BoardingAcademics, Canterbury have been approached by a well-respected independent boarding school in East Kent to support them with recruiting a Head of Netball.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dynamic Head of Netball to lead and develop a thriving netball programme within a well-established independent boarding school.The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering a high-quality, inclusive netball provision that inspires participation while driving competitive success. You will lead coaching across all ability levels, develop talent pathways and play a key role in raising standards and performance across school teams.In addition to leading netball, you will contribute fully to the wider sports programme, including teaching PE, supporting co-curricular activities and coaching an additional sport. This is a collaborative role within a busy and successful Sports Faculty, requiring energy, organisation and a genuine passion for student development.The role also includes involvement in boarding life as a tutor, supporting students' academic progress and wellbeing and undertaking the occasional evening and weekend duties.Key Responsibilities include:Leading and developing a progressive netball programme for all abilitiesCoaching and managing school teams across Years 7-13Organising fixtures, tournaments and competitive opportunitiesSupporting talented players into county and regional pathwaysContributing to PE lessons and the wider co-curricular sports programmePlaying an active role in boarding, including pastoral care and supervisionThe ideal candidate will have:Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire studentsExperience coaching netball to a high standard (Level 2 coaching and umpiring)Excellent communication and organisational skillsA collaborative approach and commitment to school lifeA full UK driving licenceThe ability to coach additional sports and experience in a boarding environment would be advantageous.Package:Competitive salary (dependent on experience)Boarding duty allowancePotential onsite accommodation availableThe school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. xjdpvnf The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and safer recruitment procedures.To apply for this role, please send over an up to date CV with covering letter
