The RoleAs Building Control Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the Building Control service, overseeing both fee-earning and non-fee-earning functions. You'll sit on the Senior Leadership Team within Development Services, contributing to strategic direction, service improvement, and organisational performance.You will:Lead and manage the Building Control Team, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practiceOversee key functions including dangerous structures, demolitions, and street naming & numberingDrive performance, service standards, and continuous improvement across the serviceProvide expert advice to senior stakeholders, elected members, and internal teamsEnsure compliance with the Building Safety Act and associated regulationsManage budgets, income streams, and resource allocation effectivelyChampion a customer-focused, high-performance culture??
