Job Purpose: To work alongside our Health and Wellbeing team to provide complementary therapies to our residents, such as reflexology, aromatherapy, and hand, foot and head massage, on a 1-1 basis.This role involves planning and delivering personalised treatments, keeping clear and accurate notes, and maintaining a safe, calm and supportive environment for those in our care.Key Responsibilities Include: Deliver safe, effective and sensitive complementary therapies to residents and external clients on a 1-1 basis as part of the Health and Wellbeing teamSupport residents to achieve and maintain their physical potentialBuild positive, professional and trusting relationships with residents, colleagues and familiesCreate individual treatment plans tailored to each residents or clients needs and circumstancesEncourage positive health and wellbeing outcomesProvide regular feedback regarding residents wellbeing to the Health and Wellbeing team and care staffShare knowledge and guidance with care staff where appropriate to help maintain continuity of careMaintain clear, accurate and up-to-date treatment recordsLiaise with the Physiotherapist / Nurse throughout as requiredReview and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and share findings with the wider teamEnsure all practice is safe, appropriate and in line with best practice guidanceMaintain a clean, professional and welcoming therapy spaceThe responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be asked to undertake additional duties in line with the needs of the service.Qualifications & Professional Requirements:We are looking for someone who holds:ITEC, VTCT, City & Guilds or equivalent Level 3 Diploma (minimum) in ReflexologyITEC, VTCT, City & Guilds or equivalent Level 3 Diploma (minimum) in AromatherapyITEC, VTCT, City & Guilds or equivalent Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapyorrecognised training in hand, foot and head massageIn addition, the successful candidate will:Be a member of a recognised professional body (e.g. Federation of Holistic Therapists, Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, Association of Reflexologists or equivalent), or willing to obtain membershipHold appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance where requiredHave (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS checkExperience working with individuals with complex needs, or within a care environment would be welcomed.Inclusivity & Diversity: We recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality creativity, and identity to work. xjdpvnf We encourage people from all backgrounds to be part of our charity in supporting our inspirational residents.
