Coatings Production Operator (Shift-Based) Location: CambridgeIf you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.Department: CoatingsReporting to: Coatings Supervisor / Coatings ManagerTemp to Perm (6 months temp to perm)Job Purpose We are seeking a reliable and motivated Coatings Production Operator to join our team. This role involves carrying out shift-based production activities within the Coatings department, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality, safety, and efficiency standards.Key Responsibilities Carry out a range of coatings production activities, including: Secondary contract reviewSurface preparation (cleaning, blasting, masking/stopping off)Production loading using jigs and fixturesCoating chamber preparation and operationTesting of production loadsData log review and documentationPacking and despatch of finished componentsWork in accordance with company procedures, data sheets, and process specificationsFollow all health and safety guidelines at all timesMaintain and repair fixtures as requiredPerform routine checks on coating chambers and associated equipment (daily/weekly/monthly)Support 5S and housekeeping standards within the departmentAdditional Duties Participate in internal production auditsContribute to continuous improvement and process optimisationProvide emergency cover for transport requirements when neededCompliance & Standards Adhere to all company policies, including: Employment policiesQuality standardsHealth & Safety regulationsEnvironmental and anti-corruption policiesOperate within recognised frameworks and standards such as: AS9100 and ISO9001Nadcap and customer-specific accreditationsREACH, COSHH, and relevant legislationWorking Environment Industrial production settingUse of heavy lifting equipment and process chemicalsOccasional exposure to external elementsSkills & Experience Essential:Secondary education or equivalent experienceWillingness to work xjdpvnf shifts, including nightsPhysically capable of manual handling tasksFull UK driving licenceDesirable:Knowledge of coating processes and testing methods (training provided)Forklift truck licenceBasic IT skillsKey Challenges Handling high-value, precision-machined componentsWorking with safety-critical parts for aerospace and medical industriesMeeting fast turnaround timesEnsuring accurate reporting and documentationWe endeavour to reply to every candidate, every time but if you havent heard back within 10 days, please understand that you have unfortunately been unsuccessful for this position, or the position has been filled.
