We're working with a growing engineering and manufacturing business in Brackley looking to expand their production team.Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company where you'll play a key role in CNC machining, production, and continuous improvement, supporting both prototype development and full-scale manufacturing.The Role - Machine Shop Operative (CNC), based in BrackleyAs a Machine Shop Operative, you'll be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines, ensuring high-quality components are produced efficiently and safely.Key responsibilities include:Setting up and operating 3-axis CNC machines, including offline programming for prototype and production workCarrying out routine maintenance in line with scheduled requirementsOperating manual and digital saws, as well as drilling, tapping, and overhead routing equipmentSupporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and providing feedback for Continuous Improvement (CI) initiativesMaintaining high-quality standards using a "No Fault Forward" approachRecording production data, machine settings, and process adjustmentsEnsuring compliance with health 'safety standards and maintaining a clean working environment Key Skills & ExperienceProven experience operating CNC machines (3-axis preferred)Background in a machine shop or manufacturing environmentExperience using manual machining tools (desirable, training provided)Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to support production targets and minimise downtimeA proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement Performance MeasuresReduction in machine downtimeMaintaining xjdpvnf non-conformance (NCP) levels below 2%Achieving On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery of 95%+ Why Apply?Join a stable and growing engineering businessWork on a mix of prototype and production projectsOpportunity to contribute to process improvements and NPI activitiesBe part of a collaborative production team with opportunities to take ownership on the shop floor If you feel you are right for this position or would like a chat please send over an updated cv to (url removed) or call (phone number removed) and I will call you to discuss this Machine Shop Operative role in Brackley
