We're looking for an AssistantQuantity Surveyor to join our North West team based in Salford/Speke.Interested in this role You can find all the relevant information in the description below.Location:North West - Salford/Speke - Office / Site based with some flexibility for home workingHours:40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within a supportive and collaborative team. You'll work alongside experienced professionals on diverse projects, enhancing your commercial management skills whilst contributing to the successful delivery of construction projects across the North West region.What will you be responsible for? As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering excellent financial management across our projects. Your day to day will include:Assisting with the commercial management of projects, including cost control and risk mitigationConducting site measurements and preparing information for payment applicationsReviewing subcontractor payment applications and supporting financial reportingWorking closely with internal and external stakeholders to assess project financial viabilitySupporting the commercial lead in ensuring accurate project financial assessment and reportingWhat are we looking for? This role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:You hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity SurveyingYou have post-graduate practical experience within a main contracting organisationYou have knowledge of NEC/JCT contractsYou're comfortable building relationships with clients, subcontractors and team membersYou hold a full driving licenceWe're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
