HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER WILLENHALL, WEST MIDLANDS People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver Willenhall, West Midlands to join our well-established client based in Willenhall, West Midlands . This role would suit candidates who have experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Driver, or Class 1 Delivery Driver . This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods, offering plenty of ongoing work and long-term opportunities. Shifts Monday to Friday Start times between 03:00 06:00 (days) and 12:00 16:00 (afternoons) Some weekend availability required Rates of Pay 18.00 per hour (Days) 19.39 per hour(Nights) Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay On-site canteen, vending machines and pool tables Temporary to permanent opportunity Immediate starts Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): Operating and driving Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Maintaining accurate records of shipments, mileage and fuel consumption Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of goods as required Completing between 8 to 10 store deliveries using rolled cages Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence Minimum of 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes Good level of spoken and written English Experience operating various trailer types Punctual with excellent time-keeping Effective communication skills Flexible and available to work overtime when required Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Desirable Experience Previous experience driving commercial vehicles Training Provided Industry-related training and ongoing support provided Apply If you are ready to take on this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
