You will lead on AOV, smoke damper, and ventilation system commissioning, ensuring all work meets design specifications and safety regulations.Youll also supervise an Engineer or Apprentice, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the installation of electrical systems for smoke control solutions, including wiring, power distribution, and integration with BMS and fire alarm systemsCommission AOV systems, smoke dampers, and ventilation systems, ensuring all components are tested, balanced, and fully operational in line with design and regulatory requirementsEnsure the correct selection and specification of electrical components, including fans, dampers, actuators, control panels, and emergency power suppliesProduce, review, and verify electrical schematics and wiring diagramsCollaborate with project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless integration of smoke control systems within the overall building infrastructure and to define project requirementsManage project schedules and deliver high-quality installations in a cost-effective and efficient mannerSupervise, train, and mentor Apprentice as and when required, leading by exampleFind out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.Experience and QualificationsEssential:Level 3 Electrical Qualification 18th Edition (BS 7671) ECS / CSCS Card Knowledge of safe isolation and electrical safety regulations Excellent IT skills, including MS Office 365 and SharePointFull Driving Licence Flexibility to travel and work away essential (accommodation provided)Flexibility to work varied hours, including early starts or late finishes, to meet project demandsDesirable:IPAF / PASMA Experience installing and wiring with smoke control systems and fire alarm integration Commissioning and fault-finding experienceSkills and AttributesStrong leadership and mentoring abilityExcellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilitiesAbility to read technical drawings and manage projects xjdpvnf through to completionProactive, positive, and self-motivatedAble to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstancesGood communicationskillswith the ability to build successful working relationships with customers and colleaguesWell organised with strong self-disciplineHave the desire to learn and continually improve your knowledgeTeam player and able to work well in a fast-paced environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for career development and progression Ongoing training and professional support A collaborative and safety-focused working environmentPlease send your CV to our careers email.People Department, NSP Ltd, Europa Building, Hoo Farm Industrial Estate, 35a Arthur Drive, Kidderminster, DY11 7RA NSP are an equal opportunities employer
