Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for an experience Fire Alarm Engineer to join their growing team. JOB PURPOSE You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of fire detection and alarm systems across domestic, commercial, and industrial sites. The role ensures all systems are compliant with BS 5839, current legislation, and client requirements. Install, commission, and maintain conventional, addressable, and wireless fire alarm systemsCarry out routine servicing, inspections, and testing in line with BS 5839Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise system downtimeComplete system upgrades and modifications where requiredConduct site surveys and risk assessmentsLiaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other contractorsOffer technical advice and practical fire safety solutions to customersREQUIRED EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONSProven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer or Fire & Security EngineerStrong knowledge of BS 5839 (Parts 1 & 6)Ability to fault-find and work independentlyGood understanding of electrical principlesElectrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level xjdpvnf 3, City & Guilds) - desirableFull UK driving licence - essentialExperience working under BAFE / SSAIB-aligned standards - advantageousSALARY & BENEFITS Salary OTE 42K + (Basic + overtime & bonuses)Uniform & PPEEngineer Referral scheme bonusPaid overtimeSales Referral scheme bonusSick Pay Birthday holiday Additional Xmas holidays (generally 3 days on top of your allowance, 32 days in total)Travel time paid over 30 minsWorking hours 8am - 4.30pm + any overtimeCall outs paid home to home and standby payment (day in lieu if on a Bank Holiday)A van and fuel card for business travelMobile phone/tabletXmas BonusCompany Events & Team Building after successful probation periodIf you are interested in this role, please contact Martin on or email
