We are seeking an experienced and proactive Workshop Manager to oversee daily operations; more specifically on the fabrication side.Submit your CV and any additional required information after you have read this description by clicking on the application button.The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising technical activities, such as welding, press brake ops, laser ops, fettling, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining high-quality workmanship.Experience working within these areas of fabrication is a must.This role requires strong organisational skills, technical expertise, and excellent leadership abilities to coordinate a team of technicians and ensure efficient workflow.Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate workshop activities to ensure timely completion of projects and maintenance tasksInterpret engineer drawings to guide the team if neededLead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtimeManage stock levels of tools, parts, and materials required for various tasksEnforce health and safety regulations within the workshop environmentTrain and mentor workshop staff to develop their skills in equipment operation, maintenance, and safety proceduresRequirements:Proven experience in workshop or technical management roles with strong leadership skillsMechanical knowledge with the ability to read engineer drawings accuratelyExperience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other workshop machinery such as press brakes and CNC lasers. xjdpvnf Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple projects effectivelyRelevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are desirable but not essentialWorking Hours:Monday to Thursday2pm - 12am3 Day weekends!
