This Scottish based business is well‑established manufacturer and is looking for an immediately available Planning Manager to take the lead on production planning, material flow, and scheduling across the site with an immediate start available.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, strengthening cross‑functional communication, and ensuring products move smoothly from raw materials to finished goods.You’ll work closely with suppliers, supply chain teams, planners, and production to keep operations running efficiently while supporting ongoing improvement across the planning function.Key ResponsibilitiesLead monthly reviews covering labour, capacity, and site capabilityCreate and distribute daily and weekly production plansDrive improvements in planning accuracy, efficiency, and cost controlMaintain stock accuracy with a focus on minimising waste and write‑offsOversee quality checks throughout the production cycle and recommend improvementsManage document control and ensure compliance with internal standardsReport performance against key KPIs and highlight areas for improvementBuild strong relationships across departments to support customer service excellenceLead and develop a team of two plannersSkills & ExperienceProven interim experience in a senior planning or planning management roleStrong background in food manufacturing planningConfident IT user with strong systems and Excel capabilityEffective leader with experience coaching and developing teamsPassionate about continuous improvement and operational changeRole DetailsWorking Pattern: Monday to Friday (days)Hours: 8am – 5pmSalary: Dependent on experience
