This is a strong leadership opportunity within one of Scotlands most highly respected private client practices, supporting highnetworth individuals, trusts and estates while overseeing a skilled compliance team.Youll manage a broad portfolio, provide clear and pragmatic tax guidance, and work closely with legal and advisory specialists across the firm. The role blends handson technical work with team leadership and client management, helping maintain the teams reputation for exceptional service and practical, commercially minded advice.If youre looking to step into a key role within a highperforming, collaborative private client team, this position offers the scope, quality of work and career progression to match.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Tax Compliance Team, supervising three assistants and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of all work.Review personal tax compliance across individuals, trusts, estates and charities, maintaining high technical standards.Provide clear, expert advice on tax returns, liabilities, claims and elections.Ensure all submissions to HMRC meet statutory deadlines through strong controls and efficient processes.Work closely with senior tax leaders to manage workflow and maintain a smooth compliance operation.Oversee capital gains tax reporting for residential property transactions.Build strong client relationships, explaining complex issues simply and supporting clients through sensitive matters.Manage billing processes and ensure effective use of internal systems.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.Support wider team initiatives, knowledge sharing and occasional business development.About YouYou will be a tax professional with strong personal tax compliance expertise, ideally gained within an accountancy practice, professional services firm or private client environment.Essential ExperienceRecent tax compliance experience, ideally including trusts and estates.Experience advising clients on tax returns and tax liabilities.Familiarity with tax software and HMRC online systems.Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills.Desirable ExperienceExperience managing or mentoring junior team members.Ability to build strong relationships with high-value private clients.Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.A proactive mindset with an interest in expanding technical tax knowledge. xjdpvnf Interested?
