Hull 16.07ph 7:30 - 16:30 mon-thurs/ 7:3 fri (Optional OT when available)Weekly PayWe are currently recruiting for a Welder Fabricator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing team in Hull. This role involves cutting, shaping and joining metal components by interpreting technical drawings and applying welding and finishing techniques to a range of materials including stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.The successful candidate will be experienced in fabrication and welding, with the ability to work accurately from engineering drawings and produce high-quality finished components.Key ResponsibilitiesReading & Interpreting DesignsAccurately read and interpret technical drawings and diagramsProduce fabricated components to required specificationsMaterial PreparationSelect and prepare the appropriate materials for each taskIdentify suitable welding procedures for different materialsMetalworkingCut, shape and assemble metal components using hand tools and workshop machineryWork with a variety of metals including stainless steel, mild steel and aluminiumWeldingJoin metal parts using welding processes such as TIG and MIGProduce strong, clean welds that meet quality standardsQuality ControlInspect finished welds and fabricated componentsUse precision measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with specificationsEquipment Operation & MaintenanceSafely operate welding and fabrication equipmentAssist with maintaining and calibrating workshop machinery when requiredFinishingGrind, smooth and polish metal surfaces after weldingEnsure components meet finishing and quality standardsHealth & SafetyFollow strict workshop safety proceduresWear appropriate PPE and maintain a safe working environmentSkills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator Strong skills in TIG and MIG welding processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Experience using metalworking tools and machinery including cutting and grinding equipment Competence using precision measuring instruments Good understanding of different metals and their properties Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Good knowledge of health and safety procedures within a workshop environmentApply now to join a skilled and supportive team producing high-quality fabricated components in a busy manufacturing environment.Our clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
