Location: BristolWe're working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 infrastructure contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of several water infrastructure projects across the Bristol and South West region.Operating within a long-term water framework, this role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes, supporting the delivery of sustainable water services for local communities.You'll work as part of an established commercial team, providing key commercial support while working closely with delivery teams to help ensure projects are delivered successfully against cost, quality and programme targets.The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will support two Senior Quantity Surveyors, assisting with contract management, cost control, subcontract management and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.Working closely with project managers, engineers and operational teams, you'll help ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting high standards of project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the commercial management of projects to achieve profitability and performance targetsProduce accurate and timely commercial reports, forecasts and cost updatesAssist project teams in achieving contract, cost, quality and programme objectivesSupport the preparation and submission of main contract payment applicationsAssist with subcontractor management, including procurement, variations, payments and final accountsIdentify, measure and price variations and change eventsAccurately measure works to maximise value recoveryMaintain accurate commercial records within project management systemsSupport project cost reporting, materials procurement and plant expenditure trackingAssist with performance reporting and KPI dataBuild effective working relationships with project delivery teams and operational managersEnsure compliance with internal commercial processes and proceduresContribute to the project team's health, safety and environmental responsibilitiesAbout YouYou will be a Quantity Surveyor with experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects, looking to further develop your commercial career within a supportive project environment.EssentialExperience working as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processesExperience supporting subcontract procurement, variations and paymentsGood commercial reporting and cost management skillsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to manage workload across multiple project activitiesStrong organisational and time management skills xjdpvnf DesirableExperience working within the water or utilities sectorExperience on framework contractsDegree or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or ConstructionWhat's on OfferSalary up to 55,000 (DOE)Annual bonus schemeCar allowance or car schemeGenerous annual leave with the option to buy additional daysFlexible and hybrid working arrangementsPrivate medical insurance (role dependent)Contributory pension schemeStructured mentoring and professional development programmesEmployee recognition and long service awardsAccess to share-save scheme, cycle to work scheme and gym discountsEmployee support services for colleagues and their familiesIf you're a Quantity Surveyor looking to develop your career on long-term water infrastructure projects within a collaborative delivery environment, we'd be keen to hear from you.
