We are working in partnership with a well-established regional main contractor to recruit an experienced Design & Build professional to join their growing team.This is an excellent opportunity to join a privately owned contractor with a strong reputation for quality, repeat business, and collaborative delivery, operating across both public and private sector schemes.Design Manager Role Description:The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.You will play a key role in delivering Design & Build projects from pre-construction through to handover, working closely with internal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.This is a client-facing role, requiring strong technical understanding, coordination of design development, and effective programme delivery.Typical ProjectsThe business delivers a diverse range of schemes, typically valued between 1m 15m+, including:Education facilities (schools, colleges, technical institutes) Healthcare & laboratory environments Commercial & office developmentsIndustrial & manufacturing unitsRetail & leisure schemesResidential & mixed-use developments Many projects are delivered via Design & Build, making this experience essential. Design Manager Key Responsibilities: Managing projects through full lifecycle (pre-construction to completion) Coordinating and managing design teams and consultants Overseeing programme, cost, and quality delivery Ensuring compliance with H&S and contractual requirements Acting as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders Driving a collaborative, solutions-focused project environmentDesign Manager Candidate Requirements: Proven experience working for a main contractor Strong Design & Build project experience (essential) Background delivering projects in sectors such as education, commercial, healthcare, or industrial Excellent communication and stakeholder management xjdpvnf skills Ability to manage multiple packages and design coordination Why Apply?
