Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to support and commercially manage a range of live civil engineering schemes. This role would suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor running their own projects ready to step up or an experienced Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor.The RoleYou will take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of civil engineering projects, typically including:General civil engineering worksRoads and highwaysFootpaths and public realm worksBridges and associated structuresWorking closely with the commercial manager, project managers and site teams, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with contract requirements, predominantly under NEC forms of contract.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial management of multiple civil engineering projects from start to final accountPreparing and submitting applications for paymentManaging variations, compensation events and change control under NECCost control, forecasting and CVRsProcurement and management of subcontractorsValuations, payments and final accountsSupporting project teams with commercial advice and risk managementBuilding strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholdersAbout YouPrevious experience within civil engineering (essential)Assistant xjdpvnf QS looking to progress or an established Project / Senior Quantity SurveyorWorking knowledge of NEC forms of contractStrong commercial awareness and attention to detailConfident communicator, able to liaise with clients and site teamsFull UK driving licence (essential)Whats on OfferOpportunity to join a respected and growing regional contractorReal scope for progression as the business continues to expandExposure to varied and interesting civil engineering projectsSupportive, close-knit team environmentCompetitive salary and package (dependent on experience)How to ApplyTo apply, please email or call for a confidential discussion
