The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting Class 2 (Cat C Drivers) on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Barnsley.To be considered for an interview, please make sure your application is full in line with the job specs as found below.Hours:5 nights a week across 7 days, start times from 11pm-1amPay Rates:(PAYE):14.43 p/h from 10pm onwards, 13.12 p/h from 6am onwards(ROLLEDUP) 16.16 (with holiday pay).Location: Barnsley, S74.Job Type: Ongoing.The role:Trunking, long distance driving between depots.Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.Requirements:Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.6 months' experience minimum required.No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.Full understanding of WTD legislation.Excellent communication skills.A safety-first mindset.Benefits: Full training and support for new pass drivers.
