We're working with a well-established civil engineering and earthworks contractor delivering projects across England, with values ranging from smaller specialist schemes through to major infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of framework work across the South East, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.This is a key role within the frameworks division, supporting the delivery of civil engineering projects while ensuring strong commercial control and financial performance.Scroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button.The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, working closely with operational teams, clients and the supply chain to ensure successful project delivery.Key responsibilities include:Leading the commercial management of projects and ensuring accurate financial reportingManaging variations, claims and contractual notices in line with contract requirementsPreparing and reviewing contract documentation, cost reports and forecastsLiaising with client commercial teams and subcontractors to support project deliveryOverseeing procurement planning and subcontractor managementManaging change control processes and monitoring project budgetsPreparing interim applications for payment and agreeing final accountsImplementing value management and risk mitigation strategiesAbout YouAround 10+ years' commercial experience within civil engineering or infrastructureDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineStrong understanding of NEC forms of contractExperience working on highways or infrastructure projects is advantageousStrong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skillsBased in the South of England, with the ability to travel across South East project sitesIf you're an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to work on a varied portfolio of civil engineering projects within a supportive commercial team, feel free to get in touch for a confidential discussion.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
