This is a varied role that will see you working across different tasks including plant operation, site maintenance and supporting the loading of aggregates onto trains.Youll be part of a team responsible for ensuring materials are moved safely, efficiently and in line with production and logistics schedules. The role offers the chance to develop new operational skills, work with specialist equipment and build a long-term career within quarry and rail logistics operations. xjdpvnf What Youll Be DoingSupporting the safe and efficient loading of rail wagons within the rail distribution operationOperating mobile plant and equipment where trained and authorisedCarrying out routine operational duties across the quarry and rail loading areasWorking closely with the rail operations and site teams to ensure production targets are metCarrying out basic inspections, housekeeping and site maintenance activitiesEnsuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures and site standardsIdentifying and reporting any safety concerns, defects or operational issuesSupporting preventative maintenance activities where requiredCompleting operational records and documentation accuratelyContributing to a strong safety culture through proactive reporting and safe working practicesWhat Youll BringA strong commitment to health and safety and safe working practicesA proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a team in a busy operational environmentGood communication and problem-solving skillsStrong work ethic and reliabilityFlexibility to work across a variety of operational tasksDesirable:Previous experience within quarrying, heavy industry, rail operations or plant operationsMobile plant experience (e.g. loading shovel, excavator or similar)Experience working in an industrial or production environmentAll the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
