Testing OperativePermanentMonday to Friday, 8:00am 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week)25,000 Per annumMy client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Testing Operative to join the team. This role is crucial in ensuring product quality, supporting production processes, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesWork in accordance with all legislative and company requirements for Health, Safety, and EnvironmentAdhere to and follow instructions detailed in relevant Risk Assessments and COSHH assessmentsDetermine the quality of parts and assemblies using test equipment in line with company SOPsOperate test equipment and carry out tasks necessary to complete work orders to required specificationsAssemble products in accordance with company SOPsSupport the Quality Assurance department with product evaluation activitiesPrepare and set up tools and equipment, including performing routine maintenanceArrange and handle parts appropriately for subsequent process stages using correct storage and transport methodsCarry out low-pressure leak testing to ensure component leak tightnessPerform low-voltage electrical operational testing on system componentsAssemble components using hand-held, battery-powered toolingConduct visual inspection of welds and remove weld fumes and spatter from key areasReview finished assemblies and components to ensure accuracy and quality standards are metIdentify, report, and assist in resolving fabrication or assembly issuesContribute to continuous improvement by proposing quality and productivity enhancementsParticipate in cross-functional meetings as requiredSupport new projects as required by the businessPerform any other duties as requested by the Team LeaderPhysical Requirements:The role involves mechanically assisted lifting and manoeuvring of components weighing up to 42 kg and approximately 2.4 metres in lengthPerson SpecificationStrong work ethic, recognising the importance of the role within the overall process flowExcellent attention to detailAbility to work independently and use initiativeDiligent with the ability to maintain focus on tasksFlexible and adaptable approach to workGood communication skillsTeam player with a collaborative mindsetDesirable:Previous experience within the automotive industryThis role is essential to maintaining product quality and operational efficiency, requiring a proactive individual with a strong focus on precision, safety, and continuous improvement.Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Make sure to read the full description below.CRC Recruitment are a leading Midlands based recruitment consultancy covering vacancies across the UK.
