Role: Senior Structural EngineerApply (by clicking the relevant button) after checking through all the related job information below.Location: Derby & LeicestershireSalary: Up to 65,000PA40 Hour week / 25 + 8 Days Holiday / Funded Chartership / Health plans / Profit share & Bonus Scheme / + Many more perks!Accept Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be supporting one of our leading clients who are an established consultancy based firm who have been established for well over 30 + years'.Due to continued expansion and the progression of internal teams they are looking to recruit an experienced Structural Engineer for their business and this would be a fantastic opportunity for a senior structural engineer or a structural engineer looking to take on a more senior role.Key Responsibilities:Delivering projects with detailed knowledge of structural design and detailing using all relevant UK and European codes of practiceProducing preliminary design solutions and reviewing with clients as part of design strategyProducing detailed designs, calculations and specifications and technical reviewsAttendance at design, project progress, and client engagement meetingsLiaising with contractors, clients, third party organisations and stakeholders, answering queries in relation to technical detailingDesign in all forms of construction including steelwork, reinforced / precast concrete, masonry and timberStructural appraisals of commercial, industrial and residential structuresManagement of projects cost and programmeManagement of sustainability criteriaComplying with designers duties under the CDM RegulationsProduce sketches, drawings and writing structural appraisal reportsKnowledge of BREEAM, sustainability objectives and embodied carbonSupervising the CAD/Revit technicians and junior engineers on technical / construction details and undertaking QA reviewsWhere appropriate, business development through managing existing clients and being alert to new business opportunities.Key Requirements:A strong understanding of practical and theoretical structural behaviourConfident in the design of timber, masonry, steel and concrete to British Standard or Eurocodes.Experience in undertaking structural surveys for a range of scenarios including residential and commercial defects.Good experience of structural analysis and appropriate use of design softwareStrong attention to detail and accuracy of own work and an ability to check and review the work of others working with youCommitted, diligent and having integrityAbility to supervise junior staff and report to senior staff.Be proactive without supervision when required.A client-focused approach with good interpersonal and communication skillsMinimum 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalentFull UK driving license and own transportChartered or working towards Chartership with IStructE or ICE+6 years relevant experienceWhat you'll get in return:40 Hour working week25 + 8 Days HolidayMonday to FridayOffice basedBonus & Profit Share+ Many more perks!If you're an experienced leader with strong technical knowledge and passion for developing teams we'd love to hear from you.Location: Derby or LeicestershireContract Type: Full-time permanentTo Apply:If you are interested in this position and meet the criteria, please apply today with your CV.
