We are looking for a befriender volunteer to meet with people we support once or twice per week at our service in East Finchley. Volunteering with Creative Support is a great way to enrich the lives of people with support needs while helping our staff to deliver person-centred services. We are looking for an outgoing, sociable and warm person, who's also a good listener. As a befriender, you will provide companionship to some of the people we support by meeting them at home or in the community for a cup of tea and a chat. You will also engage in activities with the people we support, such as playing board games. If you have a few hours to spare on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays, we would love to hear from you! This role is for a supported living service which supports people with learning disabilities. We currently have 10 tenants living in self-contained flats at the service which is located in East Finchley with good transport links. Hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, timings are flexible Volunteer Duties: Meet on a regular basis Provide companionship and conversation whilst respecting boundaries Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided TPBN1_UKTJ
