MTM Engineering has an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Estimating Manager to join our growing team based out of our Derry office.Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Make sure to read the full description below.This is a handson leadership role with responsibility for managing the full estimating function, overseeing the production of Electrical tenders for both predesigned and design & construct projects, and ensuring the delivery of highquality, competitive submissions while working within a professional team environment.Key Responsibilities:Management of the estimating department, overseeing all new project enquiries from inception to submission.Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all bids.Leading communication with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients throughout the tender process.Reviewing drawings and preparing takeoffs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems.Overseeing the input of takeoffs and supplier quotations into relevant estimate formats.Producing and reviewing bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors proposal documents to support bids.Managing the handover process to the operational delivery team, ensuring clarity and continuity.Developing strong interdepartmental relationships, working closely with Contracts Managers, QSs and the Design/Engineering department.Supporting continuous improvement of estimating processes, systems and commercial governance.Providing guidance, mentoring and support to estimators within the team.Requirements:Strong commercial experience in an Estimator or Senior Estimator role, ideally with teamlead or supervisory experience.Selfmotivated with the ability to ensure that project deadlines are achieved.Ability to work in a fastpaced environment managing multiple tenders simultaneously.Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and internal teams.Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documentation.High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and commercial awareness.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and nontechnical clients.MTM Engineering is an equal opportunities employer. xjdpvnf We welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
