Associate Mechanical Operator Aerospace Location: RAF MarhamHit Apply below to send your application for consideration Ensure that your CV is up to date, and that you have read the job specs first.Morson Edge are recruiting for Associate Mechanical Operators to support aircraft maintenance activities.This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit, multi-skilled team working within a regulated Aerospace environment, carrying out metalworking and corrosion remediation on aircraft. The Role You will undertake metalworking and structural repair activities on aircraft and components, working to approved technical documentation and maintenance instructions within a safety-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out metalworking and corrosion remediation activities on aircraftPrepare metal and composite structures for repairPerform drilling and reaming of aircraft panels and structuresApply adhesive bonding techniquesRemove and install a range of aircraft fastenersEnsure all maintenance is conducted in line with approved technical data and risk assessmentsMaintain accurate documentation and airworthiness recordsIdentify and escalate any issues as requiredComply with MOE procedures and company standardsApply Human Factors and Error Management principles to all activitiesEnsure compliance with Continuing Airworthiness Assurance requirements What We're Looking For Skills & Experience: Experience using manual and pneumatic toolingExperience preparing metal and/or composite surfaces for repairExperience drilling, reaming and working on aircraft or similar structures xjdpvnf Experience installing and removing aircraft fastenersExperience with adhesive bonding techniquesGeneral understanding of aircraft maintenance environments Qualifications Engineering Apprenticeship (Aeronautical or equivalent) orMinimum NVQ Level 2 in a relevant disciplineEquivalent military or industry experience considered This is an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on mechanical skills within a structured Aerospace maintenance programme.
