Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineerto support one of our customers with a Process Planning work package. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc. The contract is deemed outside of IR35 for Sub-contract labour but Staff positions are available for the right candidates. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product. The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to the Programme Delivery Leader (PDL) and their role will involve them to be based at the Client's site and/or any of the Expleo UK offices. Working within the ME team in our Aero Business Unit, successful candidates will join our experienced team, with whom you will work on varied projects in high-tech and future-oriented industries taking on exciting and responsible tasks according to your skills and knowledge, thus expanding your existing know-how. Responsibilities: Support design model spins to define the assembly process i.e tolerance stacks, fastening requirements. Support the parts release process (produce CoS, item tables and applying GD&T, parts to be approved from an M/E assy perspective). Perform DMU investigations (Catia investigations on major assemblies such as clash analysis, parts assembly sequence, the use of tooling i.e jigs & fixtures) Define build philosophy & produce ASOs (work out the build process identify tooling required from the 3D model and create a ASO to reflect this). Parts transfer of BOM from FDPS to ASO (just parts allocation from the FDPS to relevant ASOs) Qualifications: Engineering degree, or equivalent, with proven practical Engineering & manufacturing knowledge and experience Candidates without accredited qualifications will be considered depending upon experience Skills: Proactive Team Player with a focus on delivery and quality who can work and act autonomously Excellent communication skills Have good written and verbal communication skills and be capable of making sound technical judgements and appropriate decisions Very good knowledge MS Office Assertiveness, independent, structured way of working and the ability to find oneself in a multicultural working environment Experience: Experience of Manufacturing Processes and standards Professional experience in a manufacturing environment Aerospace & Defenceexperience preferable but Marine & Automotive will be considered Proactive Team Player with a focus on delivery and quality Good communicator who is professional during interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
