The Goods Inwards Quality Inspector plays a critical role in upholding quality standards by ensuring strict compliance with established company processes and procedures. This position is responsible for verifying that all incoming components and materials meet defined specifications and quality standards prior to being accepted into inventory.Operating within a dynamic and fast-paced production environment, the role demands a versatile individual with proven experience in quality control. Proficiency in conventional metrology techniques is essential to accurately assess the quality of both products and the associated documentation.Waukesha Bearings is a leading designer and manufacturer of hydrodynamic fluid film bearings, active magnetic bearing systems and seals for high-performing turbomachinery and rotating equipment in oil & gas, power generation, marine and industrial markets.WHAT YOU WILL DO:First Article inspection creation of reportsFirst Off checks (within goods inwards area only)Retention of inspection recordsRelease / rejection of goods in itemsIdentification status of Goods receivedVerifying supplier certification retention of records in appropriate filesQuarantining goodsCalibration - ensuring inspection equipment is calibrated as requiredCustomer returns notification of Quality EngineersMRR / CAR creationT-cards (Safety / Continuous Improvement / FPOs)Scanning documentation / electronic filingMaintaining records of inspectionLiaison with Stores / Purchasing / Planning / Manufacturing DepartmentsCreate certificates of conformanceTier II attendance / participationOther duties as / when deemed necessary by ManagementWHAT YOU WILL BRING:Proven experience in a quality inspection role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environmentFully competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings, includingknowledgeand understanding of geometric tolerances.Proficient use of a range conventional metrology gauges such as depth, external, internal and boremicrometersStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strongwritten and verbalcommunication skillsSound knowledge of MS office experienceHealth and Safety cultureQualifications:SVQ3, HNC or Time-served apprenticeship, or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering disciplineDesirable Skills and Experience:UT/PT(SNT or PCN) qualificationUnderstanding of ISO 9001requirementsProblem solvingtechniquesCo-ordinate Measurement Machine(CMM)experienceFamiliarity with MRP/ERP systemsDOVER PRECISION COMPONENTS:Dover Precision Components DPC (the Company) is part of Dover Corporations (the Parent Company) Pumps and Process solutions segment.
