Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, this role will support the current multi-skilled engineering team in maintaining a modern plant along with playing a pivotal role in driving process improvements across the site working on a shift pattern. You will be taking part in projects and delivering a high standard of maintenance over a variety of modern plant and equipment as well as services.Responsibilities of the role include: Ensure plant and equipment is maintained to enable: Equipment meets all safety and regulatory requirementsEquipment runs at budgeted level of machine uptimeEquipment runs at budgeted spoilage and outputEnsure that maintenance and electrical duties are carried out to:Ensure that all safety requirements are met when working with machinery and/or chemicalsEnsure that Hazardous area requirements are met including installations, PMs and dossierMaintain plant and equipment to exceptional standards.Work orders and Planned Maintenance are carried out within the set time framesAttend and repair breakdowns within the set time framesEscalate problems that are creating excess downtimeRe-design and modify plant and machinery to maximize production outputsEnsure that detailed information is entered into our Maintenance System including detailed history and downtimeCarry out Mechanical maintenance duties as and when requiredTake part in analysis of maintenance/electrical/mechanical and breakdown history to ensure the PM schedule is aligned to breakdown historyManage/take part in either team or individual projects when requiredWhat Skills and Qualifications will you need? You should be able to demonstrate adaptability, openness and honesty as well as solid teamwork and communication skills.Essential Qualifications Engineering qualification; HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with industrial experience.Experience within a Manufacturing EnvironmentDesired Knowledge/Qualifications Mechanical knowledge of industrial plant and equipmentHazardous Areas COMPEX 1-4 QualificationMechanical training will be given where gaps in knowledge are identified for the right applicant.What are we offering in return?
