Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Mechanical Fitter to their engineering team.Take the next step in your career now, scroll down to read the full role description and make your application.The RoleThis is a hands-on, workshop-based position focused on the mechanical build of custom-built machinery, from sub-assembly through to final build and test.Key responsibilities include:Mechanical assembly of special purpose machinery from engineering drawingsBuilding frames, guards, rollers, shafts, bearings and mechanical assembliesSetting and aligning components to specificationBasic pneumatic fitting (cylinders, valves, pipework - training available)Supporting machine build, testing and fault-finding in-houseOccasional assistance with installations (UK / overseas - infrequent)The Ideal CandidateProven experience in a manufacturing environment as a Mechanical Fitter or a similar roleConfident reading and interpreting mechanical drawingsPractical, methodical approach with strong attention to detailComfortable working independently and as part of a small engineering teamApprenticeship or formal mechanical training advantageousWhat's on OfferPermanent role with a stable, engineering-led business39-hour working week (day shift)Varied work - no repetitive production-line fittingOvertime availableLong-term opportunity with scope for developmentWR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
