This role is perfect for someone with a passion for driving and a keen interest in learning more about the construction materials industry. You will be responsible for ensuring our products are delivered efficiently, in accordance with the law and the best interests of the company and our customers. You will place the highest importance on our sustained standards of excellence in all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental Management. Full training on our products and processes will be provided, ensuring you're well-prepared to meet our high standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate LGV (Class 2) vehicles in accordance with UK road laws and company policiesPerform daily vehicle checks and report any faults or issuesLoad and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipmentDeliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates to customers or depots on time, ensuring accurate paperwork and documentationMaintain communication with the Distribution Department regarding delays, issues, or route changesEnsure security of the load during transitComplete delivery logs, timesheets, and any required digital entries accuratelyProvide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional mannerEnsure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritising the health, safety, and environmental standards of BreedonContribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseA valid Category C or C+E licence and a current Driver CPC qualificationProven experience as an LGV driver preferredGood knowledge of local road networks and route planningExcellent time management and communication skillsAbility to work independently and under pressureA hard-working and positive attitude, with a willingness to learnFlexibility to work variable hours, with the availability for occasional nights and weekendsA genuine interest in the construction materials industry and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.BenefitsA tailored, competitive salaryCompany Pension Scheme33 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidaysShare Saver Scheme participationCompany Life Assurance SchemeAccess to our Employee Assistance Programme for health and wellbeing supportDiscounts on a wide range of products through our employee benefits platformBroad learning opportunities and career progression pathways.Diversity Statement: At Breedon Group, we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued.
