The appointee will add to a team of 11 full time, 1 part time and 1 externally contracted neuroradiologists providing the full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology. The appointee will take part in on call for diagnostic neuroradiology. The department currently provides a separate acute mechanical thrombectomy service Monday-Friday between 08:00-18:00 with plans to extend to a 24-hr service once the thrombectomy service is fully establishedMain duties of the job Imaging services at NHS HHP are primarilylocatedat all the main hospital sites in the group (Hull Royal Infirmary, Castle Hill Hospital, Diana Princess of Wales Hospital at Grimsby, Scunthorpe General Hospital, and Goole & District Hospital) and 3 CDCs at Hull,Scunthorpeand Grimsby. Our team of80consultant radiologists work across 4 hospital sites and 3 CDCs.3consultants are set to join the team over the next 6 monthsand recruitment of 7 more are ongoing. There will a substantial increase in imaging capacity with new Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) recently opening at Scunthorpe,Grimsbyand Hull.
