Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will be expected to provide the full range of services in line with GMS contract requirements. This will include the management of patients with acute issues and long term conditions ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients. The post-holderwill make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including: Assessing the healthcare needs of patients, agreeing patient focused and safe management plans and prescribing. Consulting via a mix of face to face and telephone consultations, same day and routine. Checking and signing a capped daily amount of repeat prescriptions and docman, with minimal home visits Responsible for the management of work relevant to patients they have consulted with including pathology and referrals. Have an awareness of and compliance with all practice policies such as, safe-guarding, prescribing, data protection, infection control. Keep and maintain a good standard of computerised clinical records on Emis. Full participation in practice meetings and relevant training. Job responsibilitiesThe post-holder will manage acaseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting,ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients.
