Join LiveWest and help us create welcoming environments for our communities.About the roleAs a Grounds Operative, youll be responsible for maintaining outdoor areas across our estates to a high standard. Working as part of our Estates team, youll help ensure our green spaces are tidy, safe, and enjoyable for residents.This is a mobile role based mainly in the Bath area, so youll need to live within a reasonable commuting distance.What youll be doingCarrying out general grounds maintenance (grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, leaf clearance)Using and maintaining equipment such as mowers, hedge cutters, and blowersInspecting communal areas and reporting issues (e.g. damage, fly-tipping, safety concerns)Ensuring tools and equipment are kept in safe working orderFollowing health and safety procedures at all timesCommunicating politely with customers and responding to queriesRecording completed work using handheld devicesSupporting seasonal and emergency tasks when requiredWhat were looking forExperience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor roleGood physical fitness and ability to work in all weather conditionsBasic horticultural knowledge (weeding, planting, pruning)Understanding of health and safety practicesAbility to work independently and manage xjdpvnf your workloadGood communication and customer service skillsBasic literacy and numeracy skillsFull UK manual driving licence (required)DesirableLevel 1 Horticulture qualificationPA1 & PA6 pesticide certificatesLANTRA trainingAdditional information40 hours per weekBased around Bath (mobile role)Shared van use (no individually assigned vehicle)Subject to a basic DBS check
