We are looking for a Befriender Volunteer to provide meaningful companionship at our supported living service in Denton. Volunteering with Creative Support is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people with support needs while working alongside our team to deliver truly person-centred care. We're seeking someone who is warm, sociable, and a great listener. As a Befriender, you'll spend time with one of the people we support, offering friendly conversation and companionship through regular meet-ups. If you can spare a couple of hours and are able to volunteer on a consistent basis, we'd love to hear from you. Activities could include getting out into the community, playing snooker, or simply spending some enjoyable quality time together. This role is for a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities. Volunteer Duties: - Meet on a regular basis and facilitate meaningful conversations - Build trusting relationships whilst respecting boundaries - Support the individual access the community, supporting social inclusion - Encourage independence - Promote a positive and supportive environment - Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members - Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries - Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided Hours: Flexible times, Monday-Friday TPBN1_UKTJ
