Your unique perspective is valued, and we encourage applications from individuals who may be underrepresented within the construction and engineering sectors.About the RoleAs Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to formal submission, collaborating closely with planners, bid managers, engineers and supply chain partners. You will ensure that all submissions are commercially robust, clearly articulated, competitive and aligned with our strategic objectives across the East region.Key ResponsibilitiesRegister, analyse and manage tender documentation effectivelyLead the preparation and management of tender submissions from receipt to deliveryDevelop winning tender strategies in collaboration with multi-disciplinary colleaguesPresent tenders and recommendations at internal tender review meetingsEngage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive, accurate pricingCarry out detailed technical and commercial appraisals (labour, plant, materials, temporary works)Produce accurate first-principles costings and undertake take-offs from drawingsAnalyse project risks, propose mitigation strategies and ensure compliant tender submissionsPrepare estimating reports and tender submission xjdpvnf documentationSupport and mentor assistant estimators and contribute to team capability developmentCollaborate with proposals, planning and contract management teams as requiredWhat You BringEssentialPrevious experience as a Senior Estimator in civil engineering or infrastructure sectorsStrong first-principles estimating capabilityRobust understanding of multi-disciplinary projects (rail, highways, aviation, utilities, environmental, etc.)Experience working within a civil engineering contractor environmentProficiency in Excel, Word and estimating software (e.g., Causeway or similar)
