BUILDING MANAGERManchester12 Month FTCA well-established property business is seeking an experienced Building Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract, to take the lead at a 75,000 sq. ft Grade II listed building that has gone through a recent refurbished — this is a site that requires someone with genuine pride in their work and an eye for the detail that sets a well-managed building apart.You will be the on-site lead responsible for day-to-day operations, occupier relationships, compliance, and the commercial performance of the building's service charge. This is a broad, accountable role in a business that sets a high bar for quality and customer engagement in a collaborative environment.ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day building operations and fabric maintenanceAll H&S compliance: audits, fire evacuations, statutory requirementsCrisis management planning, review and annual testingRisk and insurance compliance managementSite records: asset registers, emergency plans, plant testingLiaison with local authorities as requiredService charge budget preparation, control and monitoringManagement reporting in line with business requirementsContractor oversight and procurement in line with company policyOccupier relationship management and tenant meetingsLine management of on-site personnelPerformance reviews, appraisals and setting objectivesWhat we are looking forProven experience in facilities or building management, including line management of staff and contractorsGood technical knowledge of building managementStrong working knowledge of health 'safety legislation and environmental protection requirementsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine customer-first approachConfident managing service agreements and external contractsIT literate, including familiarity with industry-specific FM systemsAble to work on your own initiative in a fast-paced, pressurised environmentIOSH qualified (or equivalent)IWFM qualified (Desirable)
