You will be based at our Edinburgh depot, ensuring our fleet meets the highest safety and compliance standards.The RoleWe are seeking a meticulousVehicle Examiner / PSV Inspectorto maintain the safety, compliance, and readiness of our fleet. This depot-based role focuses on inspections and preparation for legislated testing, with no heavy mechanical work required.Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular inspections of our coaches according to safety and compliance checklistsPrepare vehicles for DVSA Annual Test (ATF) and other legislated assessmentsDocument and report inspection findings accurately and promptlyMaintain accurate records in internal fleet management systemsCollaborate with depot staff to uphold operational safety standardsCandidate RequirementsEssential:NVQ/SVQ Level 5 in Heavy Vehicles / PSV or equivalent (City & Guilds / IMI), or proven experience in PSV inspectionFamiliarity with DVSA standards and depot-based inspectionsFull PCV (D) driving licence preferred; B licence acceptable for internal vehicle movementStrong attention to detail and record-keeping skillsDesirable:IRTEC accreditationTraining or experience in brakes, electrical systems, emissions, and fleet electronicsPrevious experience working in a depot-based inspection environmentCompensation & BenefitsSalary:32,000 42,000/year (depending on experience and certifications)Work Hours:MondayFriday, daytime; occasional weekend shiftsHolidays:Standard UK entitlementWork Environment:Supportive, safety-focused team in a growing transportation companyEmployee Benefits:?
